Vice President, Senior Counsel

Dong Hong serves as Vice President and Senior Counsel.  He represents the interests of the banking industry before Congress and the federal financial regulatory agencies - including the Fed, OCC, FDIC and CFPB - in the areas of housing finance, credit access, small business, automobile finance, default management, and fair lending.

Prior to CBA, Dong served as Counsel at a financial regulatory consulting firm in Washington, DC. In this capacity, he provided his clients in the housing, banking and insurance industries with in-depth legislative and regulatory analysis of U.S. financial reform measures (e.g., the Dodd-Frank Act) adopted in response to the financial crisis. In addition, he advised clients on the impact of rules and guidance (e.g., capital and liquidity standards) emerging from international regulatory bodies such as the FSB, IOSCO, BIS/Basel Committee, IMF and World Bank.

Dong Hong received both his law degree and masters in securities and financial regulation from Georgetown Law. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
