Melissa J. Cabocel

Senior Vice President of Education, Director of CBA Executive Banking School

Melissa Cabocel is Senior Vice President of Education, overseeing CBA’s advanced education programs since 1997. This includes the CBA Executive Banking School, which provides a highly respected formation ground for future bank leaders, and CBA OnSite Education, founded in 2010 to serve a greater number of high potential industry managers.  She is the liaison to both the Education Council and the Faculty Advisory Committee.

Over her tenure, she and a group of dedicated volunteer faculty have evolved educational content and teaching methodology to embody industry best practices, hands-on application and small-group learning.  To that end, she spearheaded the creation of two proprietary simulations: MarketSim, replicating a retail bank marketplace, and BankCom, modeling commercial bank management within a modern risk management framework.

Melissa holds a BA from Smith College, an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives.  She serves on the board of the Arlington Sister Cities Association.
