CBA Statement on SBA Administrator Confirmation

WASHINGTON – Consumer Bankers Association President and CEO Richard Hunt issued the following statement after the Senate confirmed Isabel Guzman for SBA Administrator:

“CBA congratulates Isabel Guzman, longtime advocate for small businesses, on being confirmed to serve as the next SBA Administrator. We are eager to learn more about her vision for the agency and appreciate her plans to prioritize pandemic-related small business recovery – through the Paycheck Protection Program and beyond.

“The SBA and the nation’s banks have moved heaven and earth to remain a source of strength for small businesses hit hard by the pandemic. CBA looks forward to continuing our partnership with the SBA and coordinating efforts with our member institutions to ensure all small businesses in need receive the necessary relief to survive the economic effects of COVID-19.”
