MasterCard Joins CBA as Premier Sponsor

MasterCard Worldwide has joined CBA as a Premier Sponsor, meaning a year-round commitment to CBA and the retail banking industry as a whole. We are proud to have them join Black Knight Financial Services, Equifax, Fiserv, and Novantas as Premier Sponsors of CBA, and rely on this select group of sponsors for industry insight, research and thought leadership. Special thanks to Chris McWilton, President – North American Markets and Carol Cosby, General Manager – U.S. Markets for their commitment to the retail banking industry and CBA’s mission.

Visiting Our Bankers
I was invited by CBA Board Member Brad Conner, Vice Chairman - Consumer Banking at RBS Citizens to address the RBS Citizens Consumer Banking leadership team on March 11, 2014. The Citizens’ team had a broad array of input on everything from education funding and refinance, overdraft, to posting order and the new Citizens $5 overdraft pass. Attending were: Pam Dresselhouse, Craig Lamp, Michael McFarlane, Quincy Miller, Arturo Perez, Ken Robinson, John Rosenfeld, and Christopher Van Steenberg. I was also glad to see a new addition to the CBA Auto Finance Committee, Brendan Coughlin, during the visit.

From the RBS Citizens conference in Boston, I traveled to Orlando, FL where I spoke at Retail Banking 2014; presented by Source Media. In a “TED Talk” style presentation, I addressed the massive transformation occurring across the industry: An improving economy will not mean a brighter future for all 7,000 banks in this country. Those banks which have improved efficiency ratios and have made investments in digital channels will have an edge – while those which have not, will struggle.

Back at CBA’s world headquarters on March 13, 2014, CBA General Counsel Steve Zeisel met with Fred Mendez, Senior Vice President - Office of Corporate Social Responsibility at Rabobank, a new member of our Community Reinvestment Committee.
