CBA Congratulates Joseph Otting on OCC Confirmation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Consumer Bankers Association President and CEO Richard Hunt released the following statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed Joseph Otting to head the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency: 

“We congratulate Joseph Otting on his confirmation by the U.S. Senate as the 31st Comptroller of the Currency. CBA looks forward to working with Mr. Otting to coordinate regulations across agencies and enact balanced rules ensuring the banking industry remains strong, stable and flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of consumers and small businesses,” said CBA President and CEO Richard Hunt.

“We also thank Acting Comptroller Keith Noreika for his service and capable stewardship during this transition. During his short tenure, he was a leader in setting the stage for thoughtful, forward-looking regulatory reform.”
