CBA Statement on 2020 Election Results

WASHINGTON – Consumer Bankers Association President and CEO Richard Hunt issued the following statement on Joe Biden being declared the winner of the 2020 presidential election:

“CBA congratulates President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Harris on their historic victory.

“We look forward to working with the Administration in continuing our economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The banking industry has played a leading role in those efforts by helping consumers and small businesses facing economic hardships.

“We will also continue our work with regulators and Congress. Sound banking policies are an essential part of our recovery efforts and are critical to ensuring the nation’s leading retail banks can continue providing consumers, including the un- and under-banked, and small businesses access to products and services to meet their unique needs.”
