CBA Statement Regarding President Obama’s State of the Union Address

Washington, D.C. (February 12, 2013) – Tonight, President Obama delivers his State of the Union address before the United States Congress. Richard Hunt, President and CEO of the Consumer Bankers Association released this statement in advance:

The American Dream and the health of our economy are dependent on meeting the financial needs of individuals and small businesses. CBA’s members are devoted to this cause. We urge Congress and the Administration to work together to create an environment where economic certainty allows new enterprise to flourish, students to obtain an affordable college education, and families to own their homes. Our banks are healthy and stand ready to do their part. We urge Congress and the Administration to do theirs.
