New CBA Website Showcases Banks’ Commitment To Support Families, Small Businesses & Communities

September 19, 2022

The Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) today launched a new website – www.BanksMakeItPossible.com – highlighting some of the ways America’s leading banks are delivering for the families, small businesses, and communities they serve. The website’s launch comes before the CEOs of seven CBA member banks testify in Congress later this week.

Commenting on the launch of the website, CBA President & CEO Lindsey Johnson said:

“For more than a century, banks have served as financiers of the American Dream and drivers of economic growth across every region they serve. CBA is proud to highlight some of the ways our members make it possible for families, small businesses, and communities to achieve prosperity. This week, as the banking industry takes center stage in Washington, policymakers should acknowledge the ongoing commitment from banks to help their constituents thrive.”

Banks Make It Possible For Families

  • Banks remain fully committed to delivering the products and services hardworking families rely on to meet their needs, including expanding and protecting access to credit, small-dollar lending products, and emergency safety net tools like overdraft.

Banks Make It Possible For Small Businesses

  • Banks have proudly provided generations of small businesses with the capital and resources they need to expand operations and create new jobs. This commitment to support Main Streets across America was especially evident during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and continues today.

Banks Make It Possible For Communities

  • Banks continue to make historic investments to help communities recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, address inequities made worse by the pandemic, and provide more pathways to economic growth for historically underserved communities.
