CFPB RFI on Integrated Mortgage Disclosures

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, the Bureau released a Request for Information (RFI) asking for feedback on Integrated Mortgage Disclosures Under the Real Estate Procedures Act and the Truth In Lending Act, as well as certain amendments in accordance with Section 1022(d) of Dodd-Frank. Under the RFI, the Bureau asks for comment on its plan to asses the rule as well as recommendations that may be useful in conducting the assessment.

This assessment comes under the Dodd-Frank Act requirements that the Bureau conduct an assessment of all significant rules or orders adopted five years after the effective date of each rule or order. Prior to publishing a report on the assessment, the Bureau must receive comments on ways to modify, expand, or eliminate the rule or order.


Comments on the assessment, and whether to modify, expand, or eliminate the TRID rule will be due January 21, 2020
